User Guide

This guide walks you through running an event in Vox101, from the prep work weeks before through to the recording you download afterwards.

The workflow

  1. Build your vocabulary — prime Vox101 with the people, places, and terms it will hear.
  2. Create the event — name it, pick the languages, attach your vocabulary.
  3. Share the link — send the spectator URL or QR code to attendees.
  4. Prepare for the event — power up your Vox101 hardware or open a browser on any laptop.
  5. Run the event — do a final check and start transcribing.
  6. After the event — download the recording.

The next pages take each step in turn.

tip

You can do steps 1–3 days or weeks ahead. Steps 4–6 happen on the day of the event.

If you also have the Admin role in your organisation (managing users, invitations, and devices), see the Admin Guide once you're done here.
