Invitations
Invitations are how new users join your organisation. The Administration → Invitations page is your invitation outbox: send new invites, see who has accepted, and revoke ones that should no longer be honoured.
Sending an invitation
- Open Administration → Invitations.
- Click Invite user.
- Enter the recipient's email address.
- Submit.
The recipient receives an email from Vox101 containing a single-use link. When they click it:
- If they already have a Vox101 account, the link adds your organisation to their existing user.
- If they don't, the link walks them through creating an account and setting a password, then joins them to your organisation as a regular User.
Invitations expire 14 days after they are sent.
Invitation states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Sent, not yet accepted, not yet expired. |
| Accepted | The user clicked the link and is now in your organisation. |
| Expired | Older than 14 days, never accepted. Cannot be used. |
Use the search box to filter by email or status. Click a column header to sort by email, status, or send date.
Revoking a pending invitation
Pending invitations can be revoked at any time. Once revoked, the link in the original email stops working. Already-accepted invitations cannot be "un-accepted" from here — remove the user from your organisation on the Users page instead.
Duplicate invitations
If you invite an email that already belongs to a member of your organisation, the request is rejected with a conflict message. To re-invite someone after revoking their previous invite, send a fresh invitation — the new one supersedes the old.
